Driver e-learning is a practical and cost effective contribution to managing road risk. It allows individuals to decide how and when they would like to complete the course, and allows it to be easily fitted in around a working schedule.
If you have already subscribed to a E-Learner programme, click HERE to go direct to the online assessment login page.

The e-learning course consists of eight modules based around issues relating to the Highway Code and main areas of risk whilst driving. Individuals can log in and complete one of eight modules, dependent on the one they feel is most relevant at that time.
Once complete, participants can move onto an additional module or can log out and complete further modules at their leisure.
IAM Drive & Survive e-learning is available on line and can be accessed at times that suit the participant, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The user can also review content and information once the e-learner programme is complete.
The benefit of e-learning is the information gained around a participant’s own personal management of risk whilst driving. The reports that follow the programme’s completion identify the time taken to complete the modules and the first answers given. Through intensive research IAM Drive & Survive can then advise employers of those that have completed in an insufficient time or have not achieved the first answers as correct.

Example of the effectiveness of E-Learner.

If 100% of users completed IAM Drive & Survive’s on line risk assessment, approximately 75% would be at risk and would need further training – either on road or on line.
Other clients who have asked participants to complete the E-Learner before completing the online risk assessment have seen a dramatic decrease of those at risk - often between just 4 - 8%.
This is assuming the risk assessment is completed in a timely manner after completing the E-Learner.
About the course
The E-Learner product is one of IAM Drive & Survive’s web-based training packages. It provides drivers with a wealth of interesting road-related facts, hints, tips and ideas to assist the driver in avoiding some of the most common types of incidents.
As with practical on-road IAM Drive & Survive training, the programme focuses on typical incident scenarios providing examples of what can go wrong and offers advice on how these may be prevented.
The programme focuses on the individual’s vulnerability as a road user and also observes and examines their powers of concentration, observation and perception.
Specific ‘coaching sessions’ can be incorporated into the programme, to cover topics such as parking and manoeuvring, or personal security. These can be tailored to suit an individual or an organisation’s specific requirements to ensure everyone gets the most from the training.
Each module of the E-Learner programme incorporates a number of associated and relevant questions – this helps to measure the degree to which each driver has absorbed the information.
When embarking on the programme, participants are given a unique password, which allows them access to the programme for a pre-determined period but they will be able to log on and off the site at will during this time. This allows all participants to undertake the programme at a time that is convenient to them.
